Web Terminals

Visitors to the Center can remotely access their email and any other web-based information by utilizing one of our two web workstation computers.  These dedicated computers do not require a log-in and are not password protected. 

PCs and Scanners

The library also provides seven PCs equipped with Windows XP, which include not only the Microsoft Office suite, but also more research-specific software.  These computers have restricted access and require a HutchNet ID.  One of the PCs has scanning abilities via a flatbed scanner.  USB storage devices can also be used on these machines.

Macs and Scanners

MAC users can access any of the seven MAC desktops available in the library.  These computers run OSX and, similar to the PCs, provide access to the internet, research databases, and scientific software.  A second scanner is connected to one of the MAC desktops.  

Printers

All of the computers in the library are networked to both color and black and white printers.

Copiers

Center employees can activate the copy machines in the Arnold Library with a swipe of their photo ID badge.  There is a color and a black and white copier available, both with scanning and emailing capabilities.  For visitors, there is a black and white coin-operated copier available for $.10 per page.
